A big sack of love

Thu May 1, 2003, 8:19 PM
Deal with me here, as I lack creativity.

Odds are this will be the only time you'll see this journal entry change, and this being for the first time. Since this be that only time, you might as well read a little about me. Maybe I'll add to it at some later time?

I'm about 5'10", 115 lbs (but you'd never know it), and African American(50%) / German(25%) / Panamanian(25%).

I lead a rather lethargic existence. When I'm not on the computer staring at this screen doing absolutely nothing, I'm sleeping or getting something to eat. Considering this, I've been blessed with possibly the most active metabolism ever. Tastykakes, pizza, steaks, cheeseburgers, cake, pie, ice cream, chocolate... it all melts off. It must be all the calories I burn sleeping. It'll break down soon enough, and I'll be 290 pounds by the time I'm 21. I live in a broken home, which is all too common nowadays. I stay with my father and stepmother, and love to spend time with my mother. Back and forth on the weekends.

School, on the other hand, is as most people my age see it. Pointless, but necessary. I plan on going to college, so I have yet to give up hope. I'm the rare silent, polite type, the kind of person who will be the first to reach for the papers that fall out of your binder, put them back in order, and hand them back to you. If female, this is done twice as quickly and the slightest blush (with me being darkish and such). I just try to practice common courtesy, chivalry, and respect.

I'm a sucker for compassion. Mutual affection. All of that "awwwwwwww" stuff. It ensures happiness in me. Ask for a hug from me and you'll get it. Male, female, bovine, equine, I don't care. Hugging things is fun. Well, not if you're 55, male, sweating and not wearing pants. No hugs for you. Female, no pants, as many hugs as you want.

Usually by now the average teenager would have given a deathrant about their bleak dark pointless existence. I'm quite on the contrary, an optimistic person. Things always change for the better. I'm Not your stereotypical black kid, either. I hated my only pair of timberland boots. I can't wear fitted caps or do-rags. I think rap has become mainstream and has lost a message. I speak proper english. I even type in the best english I can. I try not to wear anything with any type of designer marquee emblazoned across the front. I'm just that kid in the back. Jeans, hoodie, headphone wire leading from my hoodie pocket to my neck and down my shirt. Headphones come out the bottom and back into my pocket. When the teachers ask where the visible black wire goes and where it comes from, I tell them its my insulin regulator. I don't have diabetes. It works every time.

Well, not following stereotypes preset for me by my race lead to a rather odd outcome when it comes to interests. The oddest being a major interest in J-pop / techno music. A chance viewing of Macross Plus and hearing Yoko Kanno's voice as Sharon Apple. Christ. Then Shiroh Sagisu's composition of Neon Genesis Evangelion's soundtrack (which was rather diverse, from classical to techno) stayed in my playlists for a year or two. I don't exactly remember how, but I stumbled upon an Ayumi Hamasaki track called Monochrome. Addicts call it "hooked". Mountains of MP3s and PVs later, she's burned into my mind. I think that was about two or three years ago now. Ayutrance and Ayu-mi-X CDs won't stay out of my damn discman. What can you do when you're addicted?

You'll see no submissions from me. As I've said before, I lack a creative side to me. I photoshopped a top hat onto a tree kangaroo. She told me to get a Deviant Art account. I can't say no to that girl. It feels like I'm really just wasting DA bandwidth here....

I guess I should stop typing then. It was nice speaking to you.

You've been exposed to a mild overview of my psyche. Go take a shower.
